You set the pace here

Wanting a nicer smile and dreading the dental chair are not contradictions, they sit side by side in a lot of people. Plenty of Redhill patients have wanted veneers for years and shelved the idea because the thought of treatment felt heavier than the reward. If that is you, you are in good company, and you are welcome here.

Our whole approach is built to lift that weight. We do not measure visits in how fast we can get through them, we measure them in whether you felt in control. That changes how the room feels from the moment you sit down.

A first visit that asks nothing of you

The opening appointment is a conversation and nothing more. You stay sitting up, fully in charge, and we simply talk about what you would like to change and what veneers can and cannot do. Nobody comes near your teeth, there is no drill in sight, and you leave with information rather than a procedure behind you.

When treatment does begin, we work in small, signposted steps and tell you what each one will feel like before it happens. Local anaesthetic keeps the preparation comfortable, and a raised hand is all it takes for us to pause. There is no awkwardness in asking for a breather, it is simply part of how we work.

Porcelain veneers before and afters

Smile transformation with veneers at Foxley Lane Dental in Purley. Missing and discoloured teeth restored for a natural-looking result.

Veneers were used to restore missing and discoloured teeth, leaving the patient with a natural, confident smile.

What veneers involve, gently explained

Veneers are thin, custom porcelain laminates bonded over the front of your teeth to refine their shape, shade or alignment. For an anxious patient the reassuring detail is how little tooth we disturb: only a slim layer of enamel is shaped, and in some cases composite veneers can be built up with barely any removal at all.

The journey runs over two to three short appointments. We take impressions, you wear temporaries while your permanent veneers are made, and then we bond them and check the bite. Each visit is brief and you always know in advance how long you will be in the chair. Porcelain veneers start from an indicative £995 per tooth, and 0% finance through Tabeo means the money side does not have to add to the worry.

The same face every time

For nervous patients, familiarity does a lot of heavy lifting. You are not introduced to a new clinician at each stage. The dentist who plans your veneers is the one who prepares them and the one who fits them, so by the final visit you are sitting with someone you already know and trust.

An easy trip in from Redhill

Redhill is a comfortable run of around fifteen to twenty minutes to Foxley Lane in Purley, and many patients come straight up from the town centre or step off the train at Redhill station and drive across. There is free on-street parking right outside on Foxley Lane, and arriving without circling for a space, fumbling for change or starting the visit flustered makes a genuine difference when you are already a little on edge.

Frequently asked questions

  • I have put off the dentist for years, will you make me feel bad about it?

Not for a second, we see people every week who have stayed away out of fear and our only job is to help you move forward.

  • Can I just take it slowly instead of being sedated?

Many anxious patients find a calm, well-explained, step-by-step approach is plenty on its own, and we will talk through what suits you at the consultation.

  • What if I need to stop partway through?

Raise your hand and we stop, no questions and no rush, because nothing about veneers needs to be hurried.

  • Will preparing the teeth be painful?

The preparation is done under local anaesthetic so it should not hurt, and we wait until you confirm the area is fully numb before starting.

  • Do I have to decide anything at the first visit?

No, the first appointment is purely a chat, and you go away to think it over with no pressure either way.
